  <abstract>First Published in 1964. The following pages are a reprint, with textual corrections, of three separate studies relating to Tudor and early Stuart public finance. In this paper there are some general observations covering the entire field under survey. This book was a reworking of a Ph.D. thesis submitted to Harvard University in 1916 together with three additional chapters covering the reigns Edward VI and Mary.</abstract>
